Day13

Hello 1S

I went to Disney's Hollywood studios. I went on a ride it was called the great movie ride. It was all different movies in it and I liked it.

I went to a show which was called the little mermaid and it was a play. The play had water and puppets and lazer lights and smoke and bubbles.

I also saw a 3D muppet show.

The Hollywood Studios had lots of different movie sets. One looked like New York, another like San Francisco, and ones like the desert and the ocean. They were all built to look like the front of these places but behind each set there was just lots of structures and equipment holding it together. We went on a drive through a set which looked like a canyon. When we stopped it the people made it rain and then lots of fire and a big flood. The tram we were on shook at lot.

Day 12

Hello 1S

We went in a tram ride from the car park to then catch a monorail to get to the gate to Disney's MagicKingdom because the entrance is so far away.

We needed to go through Cinderella's castle to get to the rides. My favourite ride was splash mountain because it had all different kinds of water slides and some were in the dark. The ride ends in a fifty foot drop which makes a really big splash. I got very wet and went on it lots of times.

We also went on a train to get to another land in the park because it is so big.

We went on many other rides like a merry go round, magic carpet ride, Ariel's ride, a Dumbo ride, a Peter Pan ride, and I also got to drive a car on a speedway. It was really hard and I was driving with the steering wheel on the left. On some of the rides my clothes glowed in the dark.

Magic Kingdom first opened in 1971. The park is about 107 acres. You could fit over 50 soccer pitches in the park. It has 51 attractions and rides. It is the most visited theme park in the world. Over 17 million people visited the park last year.

Day 11

Hello 1S

At the Universal Studios theme park I went on a Transformers ride which was also in 3D but I was scared.

I also went on an ET ride where there were little creatures that needed help but they were just pretend robots. I went on a Simpson's ride which was not scary.

I went on a great big water slide which I went down in a small boat, and other 3D rides for Dispicable Me, Shrek and Transformers.

I went to see an animal show and they were really clever. The animals do talented tricks. The animals are trained to be in movies and tv shows.

I went on another roller coaster which was very fast but not as fast as the Harry Potter ride.

Day 10

Hello 1S

Today I went to the Islands of Adventure theme park. It had Harry Potter world where I went on a rollercoaster. I went on it so many times and it was so fun.

It also had two Dr Seuss' rides. One of the rides had water spray on you while you went around, but it was OK as it was really fun. I went on that lots of times too.

I went to a place called Jurrasic Park. It is a place where you can pay and you ca go one really fun ride called the pteranodon ride where you get to go up in the air.

I went on a 3D spiderman ride which was really scary and I did not go on that again.

I took some photos of some the rides we went on.

This theme park is quite new. It opened in 1999. Harry Potter world was opened in 2010. It took two and a half years to build.

Day 8

Hello 1S

Today I took the subway to the Staten Island Ferry. The ride was really bumpy on the ferry. On the ferry there were seats on the ferry.

I could see the Statue of Liberty from the ferry. I also saw the city, the skyscrapers, and lots of different types of boats. I could see a sailboat, and cruiseboats, and all other types of boats.
The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United States from the people of France. It was built in France and shipped over in pieces. They put it all together on the island. It was opened in 1886.

Day 7

Hello 1S

I went to a huge toy store called FAO Schwartz. It is the oldest toy store in the United States. It was first opened in 1862. You could make your own muppet in the store.

We then went to Times Square before going to see a broadway musical. It was so busy.

I then went to see a musical: Cinderella. It was at the Broadway theatre. I really liked the musical. I really liked the sets and the singing. The pumpkin changing into a carriage looked like magic. The people changed their clothes really fast and the fairy godmother flew around the stage.

The Broadway Theatre was first opened in 1924 for vaudeville shows and movies. The theatre started showing plays a musicals in 1934. It can have over 1,500 people to watch a show and is one of the biggest theatres on Broadway.
